We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Plumber in HMP Garth, Ulnes Walton, Leyland PR26 8NE. The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week. Staff are required to work on a rota basis between 08:00 - 17:00. There will be a need to work 1 in 4 weekends but this would be on a rota basis (and with an additional allowance of 15% of basic salary). Join our vibrant, inclusive community in Ministry of Justice (MoJ) account working on Facilities Management, delivering critical services for prisons that make a real positive impact across the UK.

At Amey, we’re supporting our justice client, His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) by providing them with safe, clean and efficient prisons. By using our facilities management expertise, we help keep 60 secure premises across England and Wales running smoothly.

What you will do:

  • Routine and non-routine maintenance.
  • Mains water supply repairs.
  • Fault finding.
  • Identification of life expired equipment, checking, repairing and making good faults.
  • Inspections, water sampling and risk assessment.

What you will bring:

  • Full driving licence.
  • Experience in a commercial environment.
  • Experience in operating light plant.
  • NVQ level 3 in Plumbing and Heating is preferred (we will consider NVQ level 2).
  • Legionella Control (L8) is desirable.
