The Role

We’re looking for a qualified Electrician to join the facilities team at HMP Durham - a secure site where your work genuinely matters. You’ll be responsible for:

  • Planned and reactive electrical maintenance
  • Fault finding and repairs across the site
  • Small works and like-for-like replacements
  • Testing and inspection to BS7671 standards
  • Keeping systems safe, compliant and operational

What You’ll Need

  • 18th Edition (or 17th with willingness to upgrade)
  • Experience in maintenance or facilities
  • Strong understanding of health & safety
  • Able to work independently and problem solve
  • Fire alarms / CCTV experience a bonus
