We’re recruiting an Electrician to join the Amey Facilities Management team at HMP Haverigg. Set in a beautiful coastal location, Haverigg is widely known as one of the nicest prisons to work at, with a friendly team, supportive management and a genuinely positive site culture. Please note: HMP Haverigg is over an hour from Lancaster and in a rural area – unless immediately local, driving is essential.

Working Hours:

  • Monday–Thursday: 08:00 – 17:00
  • Friday–Sunday: 08:00 – 16:00
  • 1 in 3 weekends on a rota (paid at +15% of basic salary)

The role includes:

  • Planned and reactive electrical maintenance
  • Fault‑finding, minor works, testing & inspections (BS7671)
  • Ensuring electrical systems are safe, compliant and operational

What you’ll need:

  • 18th Edition (17th considered with upskilling)
  • Strong H&S and PPM knowledge
  • Experience working independently and at heights
  • Knowledge of Electricity at Work Regulations
