Maintenance Engineer (Mobile)

Location: Northwest Midlands (Based from HMP Stafford – covering regional sites) Contract: Permanent | Full-time 39 hours per week (08:00–17:00) + 1 in 4 weekends (15% shift allowance) Salary: £30,231 – £33,381 + extra payments for additional skills + van & fuel card Looking for a role where no two days are the same? What you’ll be doing * Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance across multiple sites * Supporting a range of building systems and compliance tasks * Acting as an Authorised Person (training provided) * Following safety and security procedures * Taking part in an on‑call and weekend rota You’ll work across a small number of sites, giving you variety without excessive travel. What we’re looking for * Full UK driving licence * Ability to work independently and use initiative * Basic health & safety and IT awareness Experience in areas such as fire safety, emergency lighting, water checks or general compliance would be beneficial—but not essential.
