We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for Lift Truck and Powered Access Engineering Technician Apprentices to join Complex Facilities in our Defence Equipment Account.
Salary: £24,293 per annum
Location: Amey Defence Equipment, DM Kineton, Marlborough Barracks, Temple Herdewyke, Southam Warwickshire, CV47 2UL
Working Hours: 37.5 hours Monday to Friday
As part of your Apprenticeship, you will be enrolled onto a Level 3 Lift Truck and Powered Access Engineering Technician for 36 months. You will be fully supported by our partnered college to achieve this qualification, having 1‑2‑1 advice and support, e‑learning materials, and a whole team of experts on hand for advice and technical knowledge at your office.
Years 1 to 3 you will complete the 3‑year apprenticeship qualification: Level 3 Lift Truck and Powered Access Engineering Technician Apprenticeship standard. You will gain on‑the‑job experience, starting with shadowing your mentor and other Engineers, progressing to performing tasks under supervision, then alongside qualified Engineers where your work will be checked and signed off. Work will be carried out on customer premises and at Amey Defence Equipment workshop locations within your specified region.
What you will bring:
- 3 GCSEs at grade 4/C or Scottish National 5 Grade C or above in English, Science & Mathematics (or equivalent) – Desirable
- A full or Provisional UK driving licence – Desirable
- Comfortable working outdoors in inclement weather conditions
- Comfortable completing both manual labour and administrative tasks
