We’re pleased to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Business Support Coordinator to join our Ministry of Justice (MoJ) Facilities Management contract, supporting prisons across Yorkshire and the North East. This is a varied and fast‑paced role where you will support senior managers and help deliver essential services that have a positive impact across the UK justice system.
About the role
Working as part of Amey’s MoJ account, you’ll provide professional, organised and reliable business support across multiple sites, ensuring prisons operate safely, efficiently and compliantly.
What you’ll be doing
- Coordinating and delivering a wide range of business support activities for senior managers, ensuring deadlines are met
- Managing diaries, meetings and travel arrangements, including room bookings, agendas and preparation of papers
- Maintaining and proactively using business systems (including SAP) to run reports, update records and process invoices
- Acting as a key point of contact for the department, liaising with internal and external stakeholders and handling confidential information appropriately
- Supporting business improvement activity through ad‑hoc project coordination, reporting and general service support
What you’ll bring
- Proven experience in a business support or administrative role is essential, with the ability to manage multiple priorities
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with SAP is desirable
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence working with senior stakeholders
- A proactive, organised and detail‑focused approach, with the ability to work independently
- A professional and discreet manner, particularly when handling sensitive or confidential information
Security clearance
Prison Security Clearance and Standard DBS is required for this role; Amey will fully support you through the clearance process.
