We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Highways Team Leader to join our dynamic Staffordshire County Council Account in Stafford. This role will be carried out onsite across Staffordshire. As a Highways Team Leader, you'll play a crucial role in managing routine and reactive maintenance activities across our designated sections. Your responsibilities will span various maintenance aspects, including managing emergency response operations, ensuring compliance with safety regulations, monitoring resource utilisation, and fostering effective communication among stakeholders. This position offers a competitive salary and the standard hours of work are 40 hours per week.
What You’ll Do:
- Maintain high technical standards and oversee project briefings
- Ensure team and public safety in compliance with health and safety legislation
- Monitor resource utilisation and conduct cost-value analyses
- Liaise with various stakeholders, manage records, and complete necessary paperwork
- Coordinate day-to-day maintenance operations and manage resources efficiently
- Develop and manage emergency standby and winter rotas
- Organise road space bookings, order necessary materials, and conduct performance reviews
