We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Facilities Team Leader in HMP Haverigg, North Lane, Millom, LA18 4NA. The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week. Staff are required to work on a rota basis between Monday to Thursday 08:00 - 17:00; Friday to Sunday 08:00 - 16:00. There will be a need to work 1 in 3 weekends, but this would be on a rota basis (and with an additional allowance of 15% of basic salary).

At Amey, we’re supporting our justice client, His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) by providing them with safe, clean and efficient prisons. By using our facilities management expertise, we help keep 60 secure premises across England and Wales running smoothly.
What you will do:
- Assist in and supervise the delivery of a range of facilities services to the prison in line with contractual commitments. Compliance focused.
- Ensure the health, safety and security of staff, contractors, premises, and equipment by encouraging and monitoring best practices at all times.
- Ensure all requirements are met through liaising with HMPS management to receive and manage expectations.
- Communicate problems and concerns promptly through line management ensuring quick resolution.
What you will bring:
- A calm attitude under pressure to manage teams, work on own initiative, understand deadlines and priority.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and compliance.
- IT Literate.
- Facilities Management qualifications and/or IOSH are advantageous.
- A level 3 trade qualification is preferred to assist in work to be done, but not essential.
- Previous experience of working within the Facilities/Estate management arena and use of Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) systems.
