We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Driver/Loader to join our dynamic Trafford Account. This role will be based on site at Tatton House, 11 Caldey Road, Roundthorn Industrial Estate, Wythenshawe, Manchester, M23 9LF. This position offers a competitive salary and overtime. The standard hours for this role are 40 hours a week.

In this role, you will support the Trafford Council by playing a part in managing waste effectively, ensuring that highways and surrounding areas are kept clean, safe and free of debris. You will collaborate with members of the public and other team members to create a hygienic and aesthetically pleasing community. This role offers you the unique opportunity to support communities by helping to create better, safer and more pleasant places.

What You’ll Do

  • You will operate an HGV and ensure the collection of refuse/recycling from requested locations, following a route that has been set out by the business and dispose of refuse/recycling at the appropriate waste collection sites.
  • Carry out vehicle inspections, ensuring compliance with both company vehicle policy and legislative requirements and complete appropriate paperwork.
  • Work as a member of the team and receive any instructions from supervisors and communicate them with other crew members and be compliant with health and safety at work requirements.
  • Maintain the best operational relationship between the public, other customers and client representatives by dealing courteously with complaints and queries.
  • Carry out and assist with loading responsibilities.
