We are pleased to offer an exciting opportunity for a permanent On‑Site Plumber to join Amey, supporting our Nuclear Restoration Services (NRS) contract on‑site at Winfrith, Dorchester (DT2 8WG). The standard hours of work are 36 hours per week, Monday – Thursday, 07.30am – 16.30pm and Friday 07.30 – 12.30pm. Amey delivers essential workplace and facilities management services across 17 nuclear sites and regional offices nationwide, supporting the safe decommissioning of the UK’s first‑generation nuclear sites. This is highly regulated, purposeful work that plays a vital role in protecting people and the environment, while offering long‑term career security within a growing and nationally important sector.
What you will do:
- Routine and non‑routine maintenance.
- Mains water supply repairs.
- Fault finding, identification of life‑expired equipment, checking, repairing and making good faults.
- Inspections, water sampling and risk assessment.
- Any other duties commensurate with the role.
What you will bring:
- NVQ level 2 in Plumbing and Heating with experience in plumbing maintenance.
- Experience in operating light plant.
- Legionella awareness and compliance is desirable.
- Full UK Driving Licence.
- Experience in a commercial environment.
