Plumber - HMP Risley (Warrington WA3 6BP)
Salary: £30,866- £36,135 + 15% shift allowance (1 in 3 weekends)
Hours: 39 hours per week (rota basis)
Work pattern: Rota basis
- Saturday-Thursday: 08:00-17:00
- Friday: 08:00-16:00
- 1 in 3 weekends (with 15% allowance)
We’re looking for a qualified Plumber to join the team at HMP Risley. This is a stable, long-term role on a single site with no travelling between jobs.
You’ll work as part of the onsite maintenance team, helping keep the prison safe, operational, and compliant.
The role
Carry out planned and reactive plumbing maintenance
Repair mains water systems and pipework
Fault find and fix issues across the site
Complete inspections, water sampling, and basic risk checks
Identify and report deteriorating equipment
What you’ll need
NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing & Heating
Experience in maintenance (ideally commercial or FM)
Full UK driving licence
Basic knowledge of water hygiene / Legionella (training can be provided)
