  • Participate in incident management activities, including root cause analysis and implementation of preventative measures.
  • Work within strict change control processes to plan, document, test, and implement infrastructure changes.
  • Support infrastructure technologies including Windows Server, Active Directory, virtualisation platforms, storage systems, and network infrastructure.
  • Maintain accurate technical documentation, asset records, and operational procedures.
  • Collaborate with engineering teams, service desk personnel, and operational stakeholders to ensure effective service delivery.
  • Assist with infrastructure projects, upgrades, technology refresh programmes, and system improvements.
  • Support compliance and security audits by ensuring systems are maintained to required standards.
  • Escalate complex technical issues where appropriate while maintaining ownership through to resolution.

What you will bring:

  • Must have experience in an Infrastructure Engineer, Systems Engineer, or equivalent technical support role.
  • Demonstrable experience working within secure, regulated or mission‑critical environments.
  • Proven experience delivering infrastructure patching programmes and vulnerability remediation activities.
  • Strong background in infrastructure fault finding, troubleshooting, and root cause analysis.
  • Experience working within formal change management and incident management processes.
  • Experience supporting enterprise‑scale infrastructure environments.

Personal Attributes:

  • Analytical and methodical approach to troubleshooting.
  • Strong attention to detail.
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work independently and manage competing priorities.
  • Demonstrates professionalism when operating within secure environments.
  • Proactive and self‑motivated with a strong commitment to service quality.

We welcome applications from a diverse range of candidates. Must hold or be eligible to obtain Developed Vetting (DV) Security Clearance. How to prepare for a job interview at ameygroupi

Brush Up on Your Technical Skills

For an IT consulting role, be ready to demonstrate your technical prowess. You might face questions on systems integration, cloud technologies, or even troubleshooting specific software. If you have experience with tools like AWS, Azure, or even specific programming languages, make sure you can talk about them fluently.

Showcase Your Problem-Solving Approach

IT consulting is all about solving problems for clients. Think about how you can illustrate your approach to a past challenge using the STAR method (Situation, Task, Action, Result). It's a great way to show how you tackle complex issues and come up with effective solutions.

Know the Business Impact of IT Solutions

When discussing your experiences, focus not just on the tech solutions you implemented, but also on their business impact. Employers want to see that you can connect IT with organisational goals. Prep examples that highlight how your tech contributions improved efficiency or reduced costs for past clients or projects.

Prepare for Behavioural Questions

Since IT consulting often involves teamwork and client interactions, expect behavioural questions that assess your interpersonal skills. Be prepared with examples that demonstrate your adaptability, communication skills, and how you handle client feedback. Before the interview, think of situations where you worked closely with clients to create effective IT strategies or changes.
