Location: Wales (Based from HMP Cardiff – covering regional sites)

Contract: Permanent | Full-time 39 hours per week (08:00–17:00) + 1 in 4 weekends (15% shift allowance)

Salary: £35,504 – £44,830 (depending on experience) + van & fuel card

What you’ll be doing:

  • Carrying out planned and reactive maintenance on commercial gas systems
  • Servicing and inspecting appliances, including combustion analysis & testing
  • Working on boilers, heaters, water systems and ventilation
  • Supporting upgrades, installations and minor works
  • Ensuring safe, compliant working in line with industry and site standards

What we’re looking for:

  • Gas Safe registered with commercial qualifications (e.g. CODNCO1, CIGA1, ICPN1, TPCP1/A)
  • Experience working on commercial gas systems
  • Strong fault‑finding and problem‑solving skills
  • NVQ Level 3 in Plumbing or Mechanical Engineering
  • Full UK driving licence
  • Ability to work independently and manage your own workload
  • Additional qualifications or experience in regulated environments (bonus)
