We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an on-site Electrician in HMP Cardiff, Knox Rd, Cardiff CF24 0UG. The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week: Monday – Thursday 07:30 – 16:30, Friday 07:30 – 15:30. One in three weekends with a 15% uplift shift allowance.

At Amey, we’re supporting our justice client, His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS), by providing them with safe, clean and efficient prisons. The Electrician plays an important part in ensuring the planned and reactive maintenance work within the prisons is carried out in a safe, compliant and timely manner.

Previous experience with planned preventative maintenance is preferred but not essential. While a Level 3 qualification is preferred, we are open to interviewing candidates with a Level 2 qualification. Prison Security Clearance will be required (Amey will support you through this process).
