Salary: £30,866 – £36,135

Hours: 39 hours per week (Monday – Thursday 08:00–16:30, Friday finish at 15:30)

We’re currently looking for a qualified Plumber to join our Facilities Management team at HMP Buckley Hall, supporting the Ministry of Justice. This is a role with real purpose. The work you do will directly contribute to maintaining a safe, clean and efficient environment for staff, visitors and those in custody. About the role

As a Plumber at HMP Buckley Hall, you’ll work as part of a highly skilled on‑site team maintaining a complex, secure environment. No two days are the same, and your expertise will be vital in keeping critical services running safely and reliably.

Key responsibilities include:

  • Carrying out planned and reactive plumbing maintenance
  • Repairing and maintaining mains water supply systems
  • Completing inspections, water and Legionella sampling, and risk assessments
  • Supporting site operations with additional tasks as required

What you’ll bring

We’re looking for practical, reliable professionals who take pride in their work and understand the importance of working safely in a secure environment. You’ll ideally have:

  • A full UK driving licence
  • Hands‑on experience in Plumbing in commercial or industrial settings
  • Experience operating light plant
  • NVQ Level 2 in Plumbing and Heating is essential
  • Legionella (L8) and water risk assessment experience

Security clearance

This role is subject to Prison Security Clearance and Standard DBS. Amey will fully support you through the process.
