About the role
Permanent electrical supervisor to join our team on the Nuclear Restoration services account in Somerset, Hinkley Point A Site, Bridgwater, TA5 1YA.
Standard hours of work: 37.5 hours Monday to Thursday, shift pattern 7:15 am–5 pm.
Previous experience in facilities/estate management required; you should be able to oversee day-to-day site operations and support a safe, compliant, and well-maintained environment.
What you will do
- Assist in and supervise the delivery of a range of electrical services to the site in line with contractual commitments; compliance focused.
- Previous experience of working within the Facilities/Estate management arena.
- Facilities Management qualifications are advantageous.
- Qualified electrician, 18th edition, City & Guilds level three electrical qualification, test and inspect 2391 as a minimum.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and compliance.
- IT Literate.
- Team management, working on own initiative, understanding deadlines and priority.
- Management of engineers, dealing with customer and client.
- Help to maintain standards as set out in the Service Level Agreement.
- Communicate problems and concerns promptly through line management ensuring quick resolution.
- Ensure the health, safety and security of staff, contractors, premises, and equipment by encouraging and monitoring best practices at all times.
- Check and sign timesheets in accordance with procedures.
- Ensure all requirements are met through liaising with management to receive and manage expectations.
- This role will also support both local and business zero carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner where appropriate.
- Responsible for ensuring H&S standards are achieved across the contract.
What you will bring
- NVQ Level 3 in Electrical Installation
- 18th Edition Wiring Regulations
- Health & Safety qualification (IOSH / NEBOSH or similar)
- Full UK driving licence
- C&G 2391 / 2394 & 2395 (Testing & Inspection)
- SMSTS / SSSTS
- IPAF
- Experience in Hard FM services
Ideally you will be qualified in IOSH with experience in Facilities Management.
In addition, it is desirable that you have experience using Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) systems, enabling you to quickly become effective in the role. However, this is not essential, as we will provide the training and development required to bring you up to speed.
BPSs Check
This role is subject to a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check. BPSS is a pre‑employment screening process and includes verification of your identity, right to work in the UK, employment history and references, and a basic criminal record check. Appointment will be conditional upon successfully meeting the BPSS requirements.
