The predicted salary is between 44000 - 50000 Β£ per year.

Location: Barnsley – Barnsley HQ, Unit 18 Barnsley BIC, (S751JL). This role will require travel across our schools on the account.

Hours: 37.5 hours per week.

Salary: Dependent on experience.

The Small Works / Variations Manager is responsible for the end-to-end management of variation projects, small works, and client-led changes across a PFI schools account on behalf of Amey, the FM provider. The role ensures that all works are developed, priced, governed, procured, delivered, and closed out in accordance with the requirements of the FM Agreement, project governance procedures, statutory compliance obligations, and client expectations.

What you will do:

  • Manage small works and variation projects from start to finish
  • Define scope, manage risks, budgets, and costs
  • Prepare quotes and oversee procurement and subcontractors
  • Act as main client contact and coordinate stakeholders
  • Monitor project delivery (time, cost, quality) and lead reporting
  • Ensure compliance with contracts, regulations, and governance
  • Deliver projects in live environments and manage close-out

  • Strong planning, organisation, and cost management skills
  • Confident communicator with stakeholder and client experience
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and deadlines
