Job Summary
Position: Permanent Cleaning Working Team Leader
Location: Alva Academy, Academy Ave, Greenhead, Alva FK12 5FE
Hours: 30 hours per week (Mon‑Fri, 6am‑9am and 2:30pm‑5:30pm, with flexibility to suit school situations)
What you will do
- Supervise cleaners within your team, carrying out basic people management activity
- Carry out bi‑weekly cleaning audits for internal improvements
- Control stock levels and order consumables to ensure service delivery through the correct channels
- Operate machinery safely and in line with the guidelines and training provided
- Train cleaners in Amey way modules including 6‑monthly refreshers
- Resolve any concerns or issues raised by team members or escalated to your people manager when necessary
- Carry out any reasonable requests directed by your line manager
- Ensure H&S standards are achieved across the contract
- Support local and business zero‑carbon programmes, working towards strategic and lean outcomes where appropriate
What you will bring
- Supervisor/team leader cleaning experience, preferably within a facilities maintenance background
- Highly organised, responsible, efficient, with excellent attention to detail
- Strong customer service skills, friendly, approachable with a positive work ethic
