We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for an on‑site Administrator to join our Ministry of Justice (MoJ) team in HMYOI Brinsford. The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week, Monday – Friday 07.45 – 16.45 with an early finish every Friday! You’ll take part in a shared on‑call escalation rota (around 1 week in 3), supporting the wider team and ensuring service continuity. The base salary is between £27,426 - £28,305 dependent on experience.
At Amey, we’re supporting our justice client, His Majesty’s Prison and Probation Service (HMPPS) by providing them with safe, clean and efficient prisons. By using our facilities management expertise, we help keep 60 secure premises across England and Wales running smoothly. The Administrator plays an important part in ensuring the planned and reactive maintenance work within the prisons is carried out in a safe, compliant and timely manner.
What you will do:
- Process and handle confidential information with discretion.
- Responsible for ensuring H&S standards are achieved across the contract.
- Assist with the delivery of services to the client using a case management system.
- Receive and disseminate information to other team members to ensure service delivery.
- Share information to ensure HMPS needs are met.
- Work with HMPS on site vetting team to aid in the onboarding of new starters.
- Input to and maintain spreadsheets/databases/systems and produce and collate reports.
- Raise purchase orders and arrange payment of invoices.
- Support both local and business zero carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner as and where it is appropriate.
- Take direction from Site Manager and wider team members.
- Handle all other reasonable requests as determined by your line manager.
What you will bring:
- Experience/use of Microsoft packages/IT literate.
- Excellent ability to manage timekeeping and prioritise workload.
- Good communication skills.
- Able to develop and maintain good working relationships.
- Familiar with/exposure to management systems or other similar data entry and reporting database applications.
