We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Level 2 Electrician to join Amey at HMYOI Wetherby, working on a secure, long‑term Ministry of Justice contract. This is a site‑based role, offering stability, structure, and consistent work within a supportive facilities team. Weekend working is 1 in 3 on a rota, with a 15% allowance.
Responsibilities
- Planned and preventive electrical maintenance
- Fault finding and minor electrical works
- Like‑for‑like replacements, testing, and inspections in line with BS7671
- Ensuring all work is completed safely and compliantly
- Supporting health & safety standards and safe systems of work
Qualifications and Experience
- Level 2 Electrical qualification (City & Guilds 2367 or 2357 or equivalent)
- 18th Edition required; 17th Edition considered with upskilling
- Experience in electrical maintenance
- Good health & safety awareness and ability to work independently
- Basic IT skills
- Experience with fire alarms or CCTV is desirable but not essential
