Permanent Building Engineer on the Nuclear Restoration Services account at Hinkley Point A Site, Somerset. Standard hours are 36 hours Monday–Thursday (shift 7:30 pm to 5 pm). Position is site‑based.
Responsibilities
- Ensure availability of critical parts for statutory tasks and manage remedial tasks in the CAFM system.
- Perform general and semi‑skilled maintenance activities.
- Maintain fire doors and conduct flushing and tap temperature tests as required by water risk assessments.
- Carry out any other duties as required.
- Assist the wider civils team with various tasks across the site.
Qualifications
- Experience with fire door maintenance.
- Background in general maintenance, working on reactive and compliance tasks.
- Ideally hold a building maintenance qualification or equivalent.
- IT skills.
- Full UK driving licence and access to own vehicle.
- Desirable to have multiple area maintenance qualifications.
- Basic Health and Safety knowledge and exposure to building and system compliance is desirable.
Subject to a BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check; appointment conditional on meeting BPSS requirements.
