This role requires a UK driving licence and your own vehicle for use. You will be able to claim mileage and insurance through the business.
Salary: £14.13 per hour. Hours: 37.5 per week, working reactive caretaker shifts between 5:30am and 18:00pm. Shift pattern: Mon‑Fri (52 weeks).
Amey delivers facilities and estate management services to the Barnsley Private Finance Initiative across the Barnsley estate. Caretakers play an important part in facilitating the smooth running of the premises, providing support for a safe and efficient operation whilst ensuring all customer requirements are met.
Responsibilities- To deliver defined and non‑specific tasks.
- To always undertake the role in a professional and safe manner following Amey’s Zero Code Policies and Procedures.
- To work according to best practice guidelines I.E. ensuring the correct use of colour coded equipment.
- To comply with Internal and External HSEQ requirements RAMs and COSHH.
- Provide a maintenance service that delivers to our client contractual requirements.
- Use of Amey approved chemicals, machinery, consumables and equipment only.
- Operate machinery safely and in line with the guidelines and training provided.
- To deliver good customer engagement ensuring client satisfaction.
- To report any concerns or issues to your People Manager immediately for action e.g. broken equipment.
- Ensure that all duties are completed within the time provided to the Amey defined standards.
- To attend and engage in briefings and training sessions, potential requirement of additional hours.
- Carry out any other reasonable requests as directed by your People Manager.
- Wear appropriate PPE.
