Pay: £30,866 – £36,135 + 15% weekend allowance – Permanent
Responsibilities:
- Planned and reactive electrical maintenance
- Fault‑finding and repairs across prison buildings
- Minor works and like‑for‑like replacements
- Electrical inspections and testing in line with BS7671
- Ensuring systems are safe, compliant and reliable
- Working to agreed Health & Safety procedures
- Escorting duties when required
Hours & Pay:
39 hours per week Monday–Friday: 07:30 – 16:30, 1 in 3 weekends (08:00 – 16:00), 15% allowance paid for weekend working
Essential Qualifications:
- City & Guilds 2367 or 2357 Level 2 Electrical Installation (or equivalent)
- 18th Edition (17th considered with upskilling)
- Knowledge of Electricity at Work Regulations
- Experience of electrical maintenance / PPMs
- Good Health & Safety awareness
- Able to work independently and use initiative
- Basic IT skills
Desirable Qualifications:
- Experience with fire alarms or CCTV systems
