What You’ll Be Doing
As a Civil Engineering Degree Apprentice, you’ll earn a salary, gain hands‑on experience, study towards a fully funded degree, and work alongside industry experts who are passionate about helping you grow. During your apprenticeship, you’ll work across key areas of Highways Infrastructure, including:
- Structures (e.g., bridges and major assets)
- Highway design
- Drainage engineering
You’ll spend around 5 years completing your degree through a combination of:
- Classroom learning
- E‑learning materials
- 1‑to‑1 coaching
- Real project experience with our engineering teams
You’ll learn from some brilliant minds — and they’ll be ready to learn from you, too.

Qualifications
We want to hear from you if you have:
- Minimum Qualifications: Three A Levels at grade C or above including Maths and a Science, or BTEC National Diploma or Extended Diploma Civil Engineering (Merit grades in Mathematics for Technicians and Further Mathematics for Technicians with evidence/transcripts)
- L3 Civil Engineering Technician (Available to commence employment with Amey in September 2025)
- T‑Level in Construction with Civil Engineering as the specialist
- The commitment and drive to complete your Apprenticeship and final end point assessment
