We have a fantastic opportunity for an experienced Head of Digital Transformation, playing a pivotal role in shaping Amey’s future digital and AI‑driven capabilities. This is a full‑time, permanent position offering remote working.
Over the next few years, our strategic priority is to harness the power of AI and digital capability to accelerate business performance and transform the way we operate. Within our Transport Infrastructure business, we are embedding digital innovation and AI‑driven efficiencies to modernise how we serve our Rail and Highways customers and clients.
You will play a pivotal role in shaping the AI & Digital Efficiency Programme, creating a streamlined, data‑driven operating model and directly influencing how the Transport Infrastructure business function delivers services now and in the future.
You will be responsible for:
- Immersing yourself in Transport Infrastructure operations to understand current processes, pain points, and opportunities for digital or AI‑enabled improvement.
- Evaluating end‑user needs to ensure digital tools genuinely enhance workflows, usability, and operational efficiency.
- Staying up to date with emerging AI, automation, and digital technologies, identifying where they can drive measurable value.
- Leading transformation initiatives from discovery through to delivery, including process analysis, solution design, business case development, implementation, and performance monitoring.
- Standardising and optimising existing systems and processes to create consistency and reduce waste, not simply introducing new technology.
- Challenging entrenched ways of working and influencing behavioural change across diverse teams and levels of the organisation.
- Advancing the ambition to create a unified, integrated digital ecosystem that replaces the current landscape of multiple tools.
- Overseeing trials, pilots, and full rollouts end‑to‑end, ensuring solutions are tested, adopted, and embedded successfully.
