We are excited to offer a fantastic Permanent opportunity for an Assistant Quantity Surveyor/Assistant Commercial Manager to join our dynamic Eastern and Southern team in London. Hybrid working, 37.5 hrs per week.

What You’ll Do

  • Take on the crucial role of supporting the commercial manager by generating precise and insightful commercial reports, including CVRs.
  • Production of cost reports, ensuring accuracy and commercial insight through collaboration with operational and planning teams.
  • Assess subcontractor payment applications and prepare client payment requests.
  • Issue vital contractual notifications to proactively manage risks.
  • Maintain and update internal risk registers.
  • Ensure all records are meticulously kept for seamless audits.

What You’ll Bring

  • Commercial management or quantity surveying experience or equivalent.
  • Proven ability to work to tight deadlines without compromising accuracy.
  • A degree in quantity surveying, commercial or related profession degree is desirable but not mandatory.
  • Strong commercial and financial acumen skills to enhance efficiency and innovation in your role.
  • Basic knowledge and understanding of the various forms of contracts & legislation such as NEC.
  • Experience of using contract administrative software, such as CEMAR and A-site – desirable.
  • Good communicator and developing negotiation skills.
  • Proficient IT user – Ms Suites/Excel.
