The Pre‑Site Technician plays an essential role in carrying out pre‑work inspections to ensure works orders are completed accurately, supporting a right‑first‑time completion rate for the teams.
- What You’ll Do
- Plan for right materials, right order, job readiness and traffic management, and conduct site inspections of received works orders, arranging for advance signing if required.
- Ensure the work described can be carried out safely in accordance with current legislation and environmental and noise requirements.
- Confirm that the work can be carried out safely based on the specified traffic management layout.
- Verify that risk assessments and method statements are available, that public utility information is correct, and prepare the Service Hazard and Risk Control (SHARC) permit.
- Liaise with the OCR controller, data controller and supervisors to enable works to be completed efficiently and effectively.
