We have a fantastic opportunity for a Regional Operations Manager to join our National Highways Account. This role will be mobile across our accounts in the North. Standard hours are 37.5 Hours Per Week, Monday – Friday. Salary is dependent on experience.
Amey delivers total facilities and estate management services, including planned and reactive maintenance works, cleaning, project, and asset management across Highways England’s extensive operational estate. We work in partnership with our client, Highway England staff, building users and their supply chain partners to ensure the 24/7 service we provide is delivered to the highest standard with minimum impact or disruption to day‑to‑day operational requirements, keeping one of the busiest road networks in Europe safe for the people and businesses who rely on it every day. Responsibilities
- Manage operational performance in accordance with service level agreements
- Plan and organise programming and managing works and services
- Manage multiple buildings and travel across the region (16 sites)
- Maintain relationships with customers to achieve high satisfaction
- Act as point of escalation for all customer issues
- Manage budget and review profit and loss for effective delivery within contractual requirements
- Develop and implement policies and operational systems and procedures
- Provide oversight and direction to employees within your zone according to organisational policies and procedures
- Manage supply chain to ensure works are carried out on time and in budget
- Ensure compliance with relevant health and safety legislation and Amey's health and safety management system; drive H&S culture through toolbox talks and safety bulletins
Requirements
- NEBOSH or IOSH qualified
- Full UK driving licence
- Degree level education in Facilities Management or equivalent (desirable)
- Knowledge of managing hard & soft FM services for multi‑site operation
- Strong people‑management skills with experience meeting senior clientele regularly
- Strong background in health and safety
- Excellent planning and organising skills for programming and managing works and services
- Excellent IT skills, including use of CAFM system (Concept Evolution) and Microsoft Office
- Good knowledge of statutory compliance requirements
- This role requires a BPSS security clearance.
