About the role
We are seeking a Business Support Coordinator to support senior managers in Amey’s Ministry of Justice (MoJ) Facilities Management contract, helping deliver essential services across prisons in Yorkshire and the North East. The role is varied and fast‑paced, requiring reliability, organisational skill and confidentiality.
Responsibilities
- Coordinate and deliver a wide range of business support activities for senior managers, ensuring deadlines are met.
- Manage diaries, meetings and travel arrangements, including room bookings, agendas and preparation of papers.
- Maintain and proactively use business systems (including SAP) to run reports, update records and process invoices.
- Act as a key point of contact for the department, liaising with internal and external stakeholders and handling confidential information appropriately.
- Support business improvement activity through ad‑hoc project coordination, reporting and general service support.
Qualifications
- Proven experience in a business support or administrative role, with the ability to manage multiple priorities.
- Strong IT skills, including Microsoft Office (Outlook, Excel, Word, PowerPoint); experience with SAP is desirable.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with confidence working with senior stakeholders.
- A proactive, organised and detail‑focused approach, with the ability to work independently.
- A professional and discreet manner, particularly when handling sensitive or confidential information.
Security clearance
Prison Security Clearance and Standard DBS is required. Amey will fully support you through the clearance process.
