Amey Consulting – Structures Engineer (Senior / Lead Senior)

We are seeking experienced Structures Engineers, Senior Structures Engineers, and Lead Senior Structures Engineers to join our teams across Scotland and the North of England (Motherwell, Edinburgh, Newcastle upon Tyne, York, Manchester, and Sheffield).
- What We’re Looking For
- Structural engineering experience within highways, bridges, rail, civil structures or wider infrastructure sectors
- Experience producing, reviewing or leading the development of designs, calculations, drawings and technical documentation
- Knowledge of structural assessment, inspection, design development and engineering delivery processes
- Ability to deliver technically sound engineering solutions in line with relevant standards, codes and client requirements
- Experience working collaboratively within multidisciplinary project teams
- Strong communication and stakeholder management skills with the ability to build effective relationships with clients and colleagues
- Knowledge of health, safety, risk management and CDM principles within design and construction environments
- Experience using relevant structural engineering software and analytical tools such as LUSAS, MIDAS, Autodesk Structural Bridge Design or equivalent
- Commercial awareness and an understanding of delivering projects to quality, programme and budget requirements
- A proactive and collaborative approach, with a passion for innovation and continuous improvement
- Degree qualified in Civil or Structural Engineering, or a related discipline
- Professional membership, Incorporated Engineer (IEng) or Chartered Engineer (CEng) status, or progression toward professional accreditation
