Location: Hyndland Secondary School, 74 Lauderdale Gardens, Glasgow G12 9QW

Shift Pattern: Mon & Tue 05:00 – 08:00 & 16:00 – 19:00; Wed, Thu & Fri 15:00 – 18:00

Responsibilities:

  • Supervise cleaners, carrying out basic people-management activities.
  • Conduct bi-weekly cleaning audits to drive internal improvement.
  • Control stock levels and order consumables through correct channels.
  • Operate machinery safely, in line with guidelines and training.
  • Deliver training to cleaners on Amey way modules, including 6-monthly refreshers.
  • Resolve concerns or issues raised by team members, escalating to the people manager when necessary.
  • Perform any reasonable requests directed by the line manager.
  • Ensure health and safety standards are met across the contract.
  • Support local and business zero-carbon programmes where appropriate.

Qualifications & Requirements:

  • Experience supervising or leading a cleaning team, preferably within facilities maintenance.
  • Highly organised, responsible, efficient, with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong customer-service skills – friendly, approachable, with a positive work ethic.
  • Openness to learning and supporting others.
  • Required to pass an enhanced PVG check (enhanced vetting).
