Hours of Work: Monday to Friday – 40 Hours per Week

What You Will Do

  • Lead a zero‑harm culture across all sites within the area.
  • Ensure all works are delivered strictly in accordance with approved RAMS, permits, and safe systems of work.
  • Review, challenge and approve contractor RAMS.
  • Undertake regular site works quality inspections, audits and safety tours.
  • Ensure compliance with CDM Regulations, Building Safety requirements and Temporary Works procedures.
  • Lead incident investigations and implement corrective actions.
  • Own delivery of multiple concurrent programmes across the area.
  • Ensure works are delivered safely, on time, to specification and agreed scope, and to required quality standards.
  • Manage programme risks including weather impacts (critical for roofs/EWI), ecology impacts, occupied property constraints and supply chain disruptions.
  • Drive short‑term planning (lookahead programmes) through BWMs and Site Managers.
  • Lead, mentor and performance‑manage BWMs and Site Managers.
  • Ensure consistent standards of site supervision, record keeping and contractor control.
  • Manage Tier 1 subcontractors and trade contractors across the area.
  • Ensure contractors adhere to programme commitments, maintain safety and quality standards, and provide competent supervision and labour.
  • Monitor performance using KPIs: safety, quality, programme.
  • Escalate and resolve underperformance swiftly.
  • Ensure all works meet specification requirements, MOD standards and relevant British Standards.
  • Implement inspection regimes.
  • Oversee quality of key work types: roofing installations, EWI systems, kitchen/bathroom installations and full refurbishments.
  • Ensure defects are identified, tracked and closed out.
  • Coordinate logistics and site setup across multiple locations.
  • Ensure effective traffic management, access arrangements and waste management.
  • Manage interface between different workstreams (e.g. roofing before EWI).
  • Provide regular reports to the Planning Manager & Principal Construction Manager on programme status, risks and issues, safety performance and contractor performance.

Requirements

Successful candidates must undergo Baseline Personnel Security Standard (BPSS) checks and, depending on project requirements, may need further security clearance. Applicants must be eligible for and able to obtain the required clearance level.
