We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Catering Assistant on our Edinburgh schools’ contract in Craigour Park Primary School, 100 Moredun Park Rd, Edinburgh EH17 7HL. This is an 18‑hour permanent role, Monday to Thursday 9:30 am to 2:00 pm.
Responsibilities:
- Basic preparation of food and drinks.
- Preparation of vegetables and snacks.
- Simple cooking of food, including heating and/or reconstitution of convenience foods and vegetables.
- Transportation and serving of meals, including packing and unpacking food into containers.
- Washing up and clearing away equipment.
- Cash handling.
- Cleaning of the kitchen, its surrounds, and the equipment.
Requirements:
- Highly organised, responsible, efficient, and with excellent attention to detail.
- Strong customer‑service skills, friendly, approachable, with a positive work ethic.
- Willingness to learn and support others.
- Ability to undergo an enhanced PVG check before commencing employment.
