We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a Permanent Cleaning Working Team Leader to join our Dumfries and Galloway schools account at Kirkcudbright Primary School, St Mary's Wynd, Kirkcudbright DG6 4JT. This position is on site. £14.12 per hour. Standard hours: 15 hours per week (shift pattern 15.30pm to 18.30pm Monday to Friday).

Responsibilities

  • Supervise cleaners within your team, carrying out basic people management activity.
  • Carry out bi-weekly cleaning audits for internal improvements.
  • Control stock levels and order consumables to ensure service delivery through the correct channels.
  • Operate machinery safely and in line with the guidelines and training provided.
  • Train cleaners in Amey Way modules, including 6 monthly refreshers.
  • Resolve any concerns or issues raised by team members or escalate to your people manager if you are not able to.
  • Carry out any reasonable requests that are directed by your line manager.
  • Responsible for ensuring H&S standards are achieved across the contract.
  • Support local and business zero carbon programmes, working toward zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner where appropriate.

Qualifications

  • Supervisor or team leader experience in cleaning, preferably within a facilities maintenance background.
  • Highly organised, responsible, efficient, and with excellent attention to detail.
  • Strong customer service skills, friendly, approachable, and with a positive work ethic.
  • Willingness to learn and support others.
