The predicted salary is between 36000 - 60000 £ per year.

Standard hours: 39 hours per week, Monday to Friday.

Responsibilities

  • Supervise cleaners within the team and carry out basic people management activities.
  • Lead by example, demonstrate best practice at all times, and ensure duties are completed to a high standard within the allotted time.
  • Work according to legislative regulations, ensuring correct use of colour‑coded equipment.
  • Comply with Internal and External HSEA requirements, RAMs and COSHH.
  • Carry out bi‑weekly cleaning audits for internal improvements and deliver remedial actions following independent audits.
  • Control stock levels and order consumables to maintain service delivery through the correct channels.
  • Operate machinery safely, following guidelines and training provided.
  • Carry out any reasonable requests directed by the line manager.
  • Support local and business zero‑carbon programmes, working towards zero carbon in a strategic and lean manner where appropriate.
  • Ensure H&S standards are achieved across the contract.

Qualifications

  • Experience as supervisor or team leader in cleaning.
  • Self‑directed and capable of using own initiative, demonstrating reliability and responsibility.
  • IOSH Managing Safely certification.
  • Comfortable working in a prison environment.
  • Environmental awareness.
