We are excited to offer a permanent Carpenter & Joiner position in HMP Humber, Sands Lane, Brough HU15 2JZ. The standard hours of work are 39 hours per week. Staff are required to work on a rota basis between 08:00 and 17:00. There will be a need to work 1 in 3 weekends, on a rota basis, with an additional allowance of 15% of basic salary.

What you will do
- Carry out joinery work including repairing doors, windows, signposts, formwork and other bespoke timber items.
- Responsible for joinery workshop – maintenance of machines, statutory inspections, housekeeping and cleanliness.
- Measure and quote for works.
- Order materials and maintain stock of Building Maintenance material.
What you will bring
- Organisation in work with attention to detail.
- Manual tool handling.
- Ladder use.
- Level 3 in Joinery & Carpentry is required; however, NVQ level 2 may be considered.
- Experience in Maintenance.
