You’ll be based full time onsite, working alongside experienced teams and trusted subcontractors. The work is well planned, safety led and carried out under clear governance, making it very different to reactive or high pressure facilities roles.
What makes this role unique is you will ensure all compliance and safety in the establishment is met, building a strong relationship with the client. The site is in a semi rural location, so a full UK driving licence and access to your own vehicle is essential due to limited public transport.
What you will do:
- Manage and supervise the delivery of a range of project works and regular subcontractor supervision services, working with the client and site team to deliver works on time and in budget, in line with contractual commitments, and must be compliance focused.
- Previous experience of working within the Facilities/Estate management arena and working with sub‑contractors is required.
- Facilities Management qualifications are advantageous.
- Qualified to IOSH Managing Safely Level 3 or equivalent.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and compliance.
- IT Literate.
- Team management, working on own initiative, understand deadlines and priority.
- Management of engineers, dealing with customer and client.
- Help to maintain standards as set out in the Service Level Agreement.
- Communicate problems and concerns promptly through line management ensuring quick resolution.
- Ensure the health, safety and security of staff, contractors, premises, and equipment by always encouraging and monitoring best practices.
- Ensure all requirements are met through liaising with management to receive and manage expectations.
- This role will also support both local and business zero‑carbon programmes, working towards zero‑carbon in a strategic and lean manner as and where it is appropriate.
- Responsible for ensuring H&S standards are achieved across the contract.
What you will bring:
- Previous experience of working within the Facilities/Estate management arena.
- Facilities Management qualifications are advantageous.
- Knowledge of Health and Safety legislation and compliance.
- IT Literate.
- Team management, working on own initiative, understand deadlines and priority.
- Management of engineers, dealing with customer and client.
- Full UK Driving licence.
- Ideally you will be qualified in IOSH with experience in Facilities Management.
- In addition, it is desirable that you have experience using Computer Aided Facilities Management (CAFM) systems, enabling you to quickly become effective in the role. However, this is not essential, as we will provide the training and development required to bring you up to speed.
BPSS (Baseline Personnel Security Standard) check:
This role is subject to a BPSS check. BPSS is a pre‑employment screening process and includes verification of your identity, right to work in the UK, employment history and references, and a basic criminal record check. Appointment will be conditional upon successfully meeting the BPSS requirements.
