Hours: 37.5 hours per week | Monday – Thursday | No Fridays!

Salary: £26,020.20 - £33,110.53 DoE

We are looking for a hands-on General Building Operative with stability, variety and the opportunity to work in a highly regulated environment, in the nuclear sector.

What You Will Do

  • Work in a team to provide general maintenance tasks and support tradespeople on site.
  • Provide a professional assistance service to those requesting support including contractor escorting duties when required.
  • Complete tasks associated with DIY such as decorating, hanging notice boards, building furniture, repair of items around the prison.
  • Check appliances, fittings and general environment are in good working order and report all defects to the Team Leader.
  • Perform general housekeeping, including litter picking and landscaping around the grounds if required.
  • Carry out all other FM duties as directed by the team manager.

What You Will Bring

  • CITB relevant certification or equivalent, or an NVQ trade qualification.
  • Solid experience in DIY/general building maintenance.

Security & Site Environment

This role is based within a nuclear restoration site. You must be willing to work in controlled areas. Baseline Personal Security clearance required – fully supported by Amey.
