We are excited to offer a fantastic opportunity for a permanent Field Engineer OLE to join our dynamic Eastern & Southern team at Derby, York or Bedford. 37.5 hrs per week – on sites which can cover Scotland – London - With some requirements to work weekends and nights.

In this role, you will support the CRE and CEM to deliver the OLE engineering requirements, on multiple projects on the framework, adhering to safety, quality and environmental legislation and Amey procedures to contract specification and programme. This role offers you the unique opportunity to work with one of Network Rail’s main contractors on the OLE frameworks across the Eastern region.

What You’ll Do:

  • Work with the OLE Engineering team and provide the Technical knowledge & direction to the Site teams during surveys and works.
  • Ensure signed off as an OLEC 5 to sign off the Form E for each works site, at the end of possessions.
  • Control all onsite technical activities and quality control (ensuring Form E are signed at the end of Works, and then counter signed by CRE within 48hr of works, also taking place).
  • Ensure that all the Quality Check sheets and the red lines are completed within agreed timescales from construction works and uploaded to Amey SharePoint.
  • Support the CRE to ensure that the H&S files are completed correctly and fully signed off in a timely manner.
  • Ensure that all the WPP have their 3 monthly reviews and that all the new WPP are written and sent to the CRE for Approval.
  • Raise TQ & FCN & NCR as required.
  • Attend the white board meeting, and construction meetings.
  • Ensure timely production and communication of reports.
  • Weekend / Night duty as required and to ensure that all staff are mentored and working to the same processes.

What You’ll Bring:

  • OLE construction Experience or OLE maintenance experience.
  • Understanding of the Railway Operating Environment.
  • PTS AC.
  • PTS DC.
  • OLEC 1, & OLEC 5 or equivalent.
  • Able to drive (full UK driving license).
  • Computer literate.
