We have a fantastic opportunity for a Highways Team Leader to join our Staffordshire County Council Account. This role will be based on-site at our Leek depot (ST13 7AB). Amey have been working with Staffordshire County Council since 2014 to manage and maintain the county's highways infrastructure. We take pride in delivering exceptional infrastructure services across 6,000KM of Staffordshire, ensuring roads, cycle routes, bridges, tunnels, lighting, drainage, traffic signals, trees, and land are well-maintained to enhance the lives of local residents and communities.
As a Highways Team Leader, you'll play a crucial role in managing routine and reactive maintenance activities across our designated sections. Your responsibilities will span various maintenance aspects, including:
- Maintaining high technical standards and overseeing project briefings.
- Ensuring team and public safety in compliance with health and safety legislation.
- Monitoring resource utilisation and conducting cost-value analyses.
- Liaising with various stakeholders, managing records, and completing necessary paperwork.
- Coordinating day-to-day maintenance operations and managing resources efficiently.
- Developing and managing emergency standby and winter rotas.
- Organising road space bookings, ordering necessary materials, and conducting performance reviews.
- Helping with the depots to cover call out and winter maintenance.
- Resolving any issues with tablets to allow for smooth running of the Depots.
