We are excited to offer a fantastic Permanent opportunity for an Assistant QS/Commercial Manager to join our dynamic Eastern and Southern team in London or Bedford. Hybrid working, 37.5 hrs per week with an expectation to be in the office/site 3 days a week.
In this role, you will support the Commercial Manager by supporting a diverse portfolio of projects and frameworks across London and the South. The role will involve working from several locations across London and Bedford, providing commercial support to project teams and helping to ensure the successful delivery of key infrastructure and transport projects. What You’ll Do:
- Take on the crucial role of supporting the commercial manager by generating precise and insightful commercial reports, including CVRs.
- Assess subcontractor payment applications and prepare client payment requests.
- Issue vital contractual notifications to proactively manage risks.
- Maintain and update internal risk registers.
- Ensure all records are meticulously kept for seamless audits.

What You’ll Bring:
Experience in a commercial, quantity surveying or project support environment, ideally within the construction, infrastructure, rail or transport sectors. A basic understanding of NEC forms of contract would be beneficial, together with an interest in developing knowledge of contract administration, change management, forecasting and commercial reporting. Experience of working with, or supporting projects for, Transport for London (TfL) would be advantageous, although not essential.
