Role Overview

We possess market‑leading Asset Management specialists operating predominantly within regulated industries, particularly Major Infrastructure, Highways, Rail, Aviation, Maritime, and Energy. Our consulting team focuses on delivering excellence in Asset Management, underpinned by class‑leading data analytics and technology, helping organisations make informed decisions about managing their infrastructure assets. We embed ourselves with the client to improve their processes, systems, and data, and maintain these relationships after we leave. The role of Asset Management Consultant involves setting the direction of the consulting team, broadening our scope into new markets, establishing quality standards and continuing to create tailored asset management solutions.

Key Responsibilities

  • Support the use of business intelligence from asset data to build client relationships and help clients understand the value of their asset portfolios.
  • Assist in the development and implementation of asset management strategies for large organisations.
  • Contribute to the presentation and integration of asset information systems and processes to support strategic Asset Management planning.
  • Provide support to clients during Asset Management transformation programmes to deliver measurable benefits for them and their customers.
  • Work alongside industry experts to identify client challenges and contribute to developing improvement strategies to enhance asset performance.
  • Assist in the creation of data‑driven solutions to support advanced asset management systems and models.
  • Analyse data to help produce reports on change management, financial KPIs, and risk/opportunity assessments.
  • Share insights and learning with team members to support a collaborative and learning‑focused culture.
  • Act as a proactive team member, contributing to networking efforts and advocating for Asset Management within the organisation.

Qualifications

  • A degree in a relevant discipline or equivalent professional experience.
  • Working towards chartered status or membership in a professional body related to Asset Management, Engineering, Operations, or Consultancy.
  • Familiarity with ISO55001 and the IAM anatomy, along with an understanding of similar industry standards and guidelines.
  • Experience in infrastructure or operations sectors such as rail, ports, property, aviation, highways, or energy.
  • Ability to diagnose Asset Management challenges using evidence‑based approaches and communicate findings effectively.
  • Involvement in planning and supporting Asset Management change programmes.
  • Exposure to innovative solutions in areas like strategy, risk management, organisational change, or digital data capture.
  • Basic knowledge of Enterprise Asset Management (EAM) systems is desirable (e.g., HxGN EAM, IBM Maximo, or IFS Cloud).
  • Experience in managing projects and balancing financial and technical requirements to support successful project outcomes.
  • Skilled in building strong client relationships and contributing to customer‑focused solutions.
  • Knowledge of APM, PRINCE2, or AgilePM qualifications (desirable).
  • Good communication and interpersonal skills, enabling rapport‑building with diverse clients.
  • Familiarity with bid writing processes (desirable).
  • Flexible and adaptable, thriving in fast‑paced and dynamic environments.
