Job Purpose
You'll work alongside expert consultants and technology leaders to identify, validate, and prototype AI solutions that enhance how our clients and consultants work, improve operational efficiency, and accelerate our Consulting business growth. You'll bridge emerging AI technologies - including Generative AI, Large Language Models with real-world applications in travel. In this dynamic role, you'll equip the Amex GBT Consulting team with cutting-edge AI tools, standardized prompts, and strategic assets that enable exceptional, consistent client outcomes.
What You'll Do
- Research AI opportunities: Explore current and emerging AI technologies and recommend practical applications for travel consulting (analytics, insight generation, sentiment analysis).
- Create standardized prompts: Learn our available AI tools and build reusable prompts for consultant tasks, establishing a knowledge base your colleagues can draw on.
- Build proof of concepts: Prototype and validate AI use cases using no-code/low-code tools to test solutions quickly.
- Enhance existing AI infrastructure: Run new queries on our consulting-specific AI tools and refine prompts to improve performance.
- Evaluate feasibility: Assess proposed AI solutions by weighing impact (ROI and user experience) against technical requirements, helping prioritize high-potential projects.
- Uncover insights from data: Analyze customer feedback, booking trends, and reviews to spot opportunities for personalized recommendations and sentiment analysis.
- Document your work: Create technical documentation, workflow diagrams, and ROI projections for promising AI projects.
- Lead innovation sessions: Organize and facilitate brainstorming with Consulting, Engineering, Analysis, Marketing, Product, and clients to understand challenges, validate use cases, and gather feedback.
- Present findings in clear, compelling language that demonstrates business value.
- Translate for everyone: Explain AI concepts in accessible terms to clients and internal stakeholders, ensuring alignment on objectives and outcomes.
What We're Looking For
- Education: Recently completed or currently pursuing a Master's degree, or in your final year of an Undergraduate degree in Computer Science, Data Science, AI, Business Analytics, or related field.
- AI & technical foundation: Strong grasp of generative AI, Large Language Models, prompt engineering, and conversational AI agents. Familiarity with Python, SQL, or no-code automation platforms.
- Travel industry curiosity: Genuine interest in how technology transforms travel, hospitality, or tourism.
- Communication & problem-solving: Creative thinker with a proactive approach. You can translate complex technical concepts for non-technical audiences, present ideas confidently, gather requirements, and build rapport across diverse groups in a consulting environment.
- Collaborative spirit: You work well across Consulting, Engineering, Analysis, Marketing, and Product teams while staying focused on what clients need. You listen actively, ask thoughtful questions, and connect client business goals to AI opportunities.
- Self-driven & organized: Highly motivated and self-organized, thriving in fast-paced, high-growth settings while juggling multiple projects.
