  • Europe – Most schools begin in late August or early September, with recruitment often taking place from October onwards.
  • Africa – British International Schools vary by country, but many follow either a late August/September calendar or a January calendar, depending on the national education system and school. Recruitment takes place throughout the year.
  • North & South America – Most schools start between August and September, although many countries in South America begin their academic year in February or March.
  • Australia & Oceania – The school year typically begins in late January or early February.
