In this role you play a critical role in the design, development, and implementation of manufacturing processes to ensure the efficient production of high-quality products.

Team: Department: Manufacturing Engineering Reporting to: Manager, Manufacturing Engineer Key Responsibilities As a Manufacturing Engineer, you will play a key role in delivering efficient, reliable, and scalable manufacturing processes while supporting continuous improvement across the product lifecycle.
You will support a global leader in modular high performance, open architecture, standards based rugged embedded computing system Key responsibilities include: Developing and maintaining manufacturing processes, production routings, and procedures to ensure consistent product quality.
Designing, implementing, and supporting manufacturing equipment and tooling solutions.
Supporting New Product Introduction (NPI) activities, including design reviews and on-time, on-budget product releases.
Investigating manufacturing defects and process issues, identifying root causes, and implementing corrective actions.
Driving continuous improvement and Operational Excellence (Op Ex) initiatives across manufacturing operations.
Collaborating with Engineering and Operations teams while supporting the development of Manufacturing Engineering Technicians.

Your Skills & Experience We're looking for an experienced Manufacturing Engineer with a strong technical background, a hands-on approach to problem-solving, and a passion for continuous improvement.
Ideally, you will have: Proven experience as a Manufacturing Engineer within a manufacturing environment.
Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, engineering principles, product development, and project management.
Hands-on experience of mechanical assembly, including metalwork, circuit card integration, and the application of fixings and thermal materials.
Knowledge of IPC-A-610 Class 3 and J-STD-001 standards, with hand soldering experience.
Experience of press-fit tooling design and deployment.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications and experience using MRP/ERP systems, preferably SAP.
Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with experience conducting root cause analysis and implementing corrective actions.
Excellent communication, presentation, stakeholder management, and negotiation skills, with the ability to influence and engage effectively at all levels.
A collaborative and self-motivated approach, with experience mentoring, supporting, or developing others.
Demonstrated ability and willingness to use AI tools to improve productivity, decision-making, work quality, and to reduce costs.
The successful candidate must be able to identify appropriate AI use cases and critically evaluate AI-generated outputs.
Desirable Skills & Experience The following would be advantageous: Working knowledge of conformal coating, underfill, and overfill processes, including experience with PVA, Asymtek, and GPD equipment.
Valor software knowledge.
De-paneling knowledge.
Experience performing Design Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (DFMEA) and Process Failure Mode and Effects Analysis (PFMEA) reviews.
Operational Excellence (Op Ex) and Lean Manufacturing experience.
Knowledge and application of Value Stream Mapping, 5 Whys, and 5S methodologies.
Experience working within a Defence and/or Aerospace manufacturing environment.
Qualifications Essential Degree in Manufacturing Engineering or a related engineering discipline, or equivalent technical qualification and experience.
