We are seeking a motivated and enthusiastic school or college leaver to join two of our teams as a Service Engineer Apprentice, undertaking a Mechatronics Engineering apprenticeship training programme. The roles will be located in Leicester or Sheffield. This is a fantastic opportunity to gain hands‑on experience while working towards a nationally recognised, level 3 qualification over a three‑year period.

Key Responsibilities

  • Assist in the design, development and maintenance of mechanical and electronic systems
  • Support the installation and testing of automation equipment and robotics
  • Participate in troubleshooting and repair of mechatronic systems
  • Collaborate with engineers and service technicians on live projects and maintenance tasks
  • Maintain accurate records of completed work and contribute to continuous improvement initiatives
  • Follow health and safety procedures and ensure compliance with company standards

Training and Development

  • Complete a structured training programme combining on‑job learning with academic study
  • Attend college or training provider sessions on a block‑delivery basis as required to fulfil qualification requirements. For instance, in year 1 you may be away from home for up to 1‑week in every six‑week cycle
  • Receive mentoring and support from experienced engineers and team members
