We are looking for a skilled Electromechanical Assembler to join our dynamic Engineering team supporting New Product Development. In this role, you will be responsible for assembling, testing, and troubleshooting a variety of new and existing electromechanical devices and systems in support of our engineering efforts, driving innovation. You will work from blueprints, schematics, and work instructions to ensure that all products meet quality and safety standards. The ideal candidate will have a keen eye for detail, strong manual dexterity, and a solid understanding of both electrical and mechanical components.
As an Electromechanical Assembler, you will collaborate closely with engineers, quality assurance, and other team members to ensure timely and accurate completion of projects. Your daily tasks will include:
- Reading and interpreting technical documents
- Using hand and power tools
- Soldering, wiring, and performing functional tests on completed assemblies
- Identifying and reporting any defects or issues during the assembly process
- Maintaining a clean and organized work area
- Released prototype part stock control
- Adhering to all safety protocols

Responsibilities:
- Assemble electromechanical components and systems according to blueprints and schematics
- Perform wiring, soldering, and mechanical assembly tasks
- Test and troubleshoot completed assemblies for functionality and quality
- Read and interpret technical documents and work instructions
- Identify and report defects or issues during the assembly process
- Generate/update key assembly instructions as required
- Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment
- Collaborate with engineers and quality assurance teams
- Document assembly processes and results as required
- Follow all safety protocols and company policies
- Participate in continuous improvement initiatives
- Prototype release parts stock control
- Identification of test equipment and calibrated standards, source and maintenance
Requirements:
- 5 GCSEs grade 5 or above (including Maths, English + 1 science), ONC or equivalent
- Minimum 8 years experience in electromechanical assembly or related field is a plus
- Ability to read and interpret both 2D and 3D CAD models, schematics, and work instructions
- Proficient in using hand and power tools, soldering skills
- Strong attention to detail and manual dexterity
- Basic understanding of electrical and mechanical systems
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Good communication and problem-solving skills
- Willingness to learn and adapt to new technologies
- Ability to lift up to 20kgs and stand for extended periods
- Summary report writing
