As an Electronics Technician – Avionics, you will play a key role in the repair and overhaul of aircraft communication and navigation systems.
Key Responsibilities
- Perform precise mechanical and electronic repairs, including through‑hole and surface‑mounted components.
- Fault‑find, repair, and test avionics units using specialised and general‑purpose test equipment.
- Work in strict accordance with Component Maintenance Manuals (CMMs), regulatory approvals, and the company quality system.
- Accurately complete repair documentation and maintain clear, traceable records.
- Deliver work to agreed quality, safety, and cost‑effectiveness standards.
- Remain up to date with company procedures and working practices.
- Undertake cross‑training in additional technical areas as required by the business.
Qualifications & Experience
- Relevant technical qualification at NVQ Level 3, HNC, recognised trade qualification, or applicable military technical training.
- Proven experience repairing avionics systems involving analogue, digital, microprocessor, and RF electronics.
- Strong attention to detail, accuracy, and compliance with regulated environments.
- Comfortable working with complex avionics test equipment.
