The Electronics Engineer at LAND® will be responsible for the design and development of electronic circuits and embedded firmware across the LAND® product range. This includes PCB design, prototype construction, testing (including on-site testing), and the production of clear and accurate technical documentation.
Key Responsibilities And Accountabilities
- Work as part of the Electronics section within the Design Engineering team
- Apply standard electronics design techniques and criteria with minimal supervision
- Contribute to multidisciplinary projects where electronics and embedded firmware form a key part of the overall system
- Support the design and development activities of other Design Engineering disciplines, including mechanical, optics, radiometric, software, system, and application design
- Participate in project management activities such as project meetings, design reviews, and technical discussions
- Provide engineering support to other departments, including production, sales, and service
- Complete routine administrative and quality-related activities within the department, such as time recording, weekly reporting, and quality system requirements

- PCB layout
- Precision analogue circuit design
- Microcontroller-based digital design
- Embedded C firmware development
- VHDL for FPGA-based designs
- Local Area Networks (LANs)
- Technical awareness or exposure in the following areas:
- Linux operating systems
- EMC testing
- Infrared optics
- Environmental specifications
- PC software
- Industrial communication protocols
- Ability to develop and apply knowledge of LAND® products and applications
Experience, Professional Qualifications And Personal Requirements
- Bachelor’s Degree in Engineering or a related discipline
- Minimum of 1 year’s relevant engineering experience
