Scope of Role
- To build electro-mechanical assemblies to technical drawings, SOP’s and CMM’s.
- To inspect and test finished products to ensure quality and accuracy.
- To upgrade and repair electro-mechanical assemblies.
- To maintain equipment used in electronic assembly.
Main Duties / Responsibilities
- Electro-mechanical assembly work to drawing and/or CMMs.
- Electro-mechanical work, fan/motors and/or heaters to drawing and/or CMMs.
- Use basic hand tools and measuring equipment, for example, torque drivers, micrometers and verniers.
- Assemble parts or units according to specifications, ensuring they meet quality standards and function properly, including drilling, tapping, reaming, countersinking, filing, lapping, buffing, lubrication etc.
- Connect cables and wires according to specifications.
- Conduct tests and inspections to identify and troubleshoot any issues.
- Adhere to all company manufacturing procedures.
- Complete all relevant documentation.
- Provide any information or help required to customers, suppliers and visitors from other companies within our group of companies who often tour the factory floors, and may well take the opportunity to examine parts, talk to staff or watch them carry out their work. Therefore, the ideal candidate should be able to communicate at all levels.
- Participate in any Continuous Improvement and 5S activities that affect the quality or output of the product.
- Where PPE (personal protective equipment) is provided, you will be required to use it.
- Carry out all activities as defined above in a timely manner to ensure the company manufacturing targets are achieved.
- You will be required to take on ad hoc duties which includes, but is not limited to, training colleagues in line with local skills matrix, department associated tasks and brief secondment to other departments.
